Python packages ship on PyPI

The Python HTTP client and the maturin wheel that embeds the Rust engine both ship at 0.1.0.

  1. kotoshu 0.1.0 is the Python client, exposing Client.check, suggest, detect, and correct over the HTTP API with the same result types the other SDKs use.
  2. kotoshu-native 0.1.0 is a maturin-built wheel embedding the Rust engine. KOTOSHU_BACKEND=native|http|auto picks the backend, and word-level checking runs fully offline with no server involved.
  3. Result handling is identical across backends: the same Suggestion rows come back whether the engine runs in-process or over the wire.
